- A phenomenom in which strange men appear to witnesses of paranormal activities or individuals who may be a risk to
national security, in order to harass, question or intimidate them into silence.



In popular Culture: Field agents working for secret government agencies that monitor alien and paranormal activity on
Earth, so that national security can be maintained. The term is also used to refer to any kind of suited government
official, mainly those working for secret services.

Characteristics:

      - Is a phenomenom mainly linked to UFO sightings and encounters in various places on Earth. See Ufology.

      - Is a poorly documented phenomenom because most of the real cases lack credibility ?

      - Has become a stereotype in popular Culture and been portrayed in movies and comics.

      Versions:

            Real (based on accounts made by people around the world):

                  Appearance:

                        Face: Emotionless. Pale. Disproportional features. Oriental eyes. Black sun glasses (optional). 
                        High cheekbones. No lips or teeth ?

                        

                        
                        Head: Bald.

                        Body: Hairless. Robotic and awkward movements. Can be very short or very tall?

                  Clothing: Made of a strange material.

                  Communication: Monotonic voice. They have a strange accent.

                  - Are they actually extraterrestrials ? Are they actually human / alien hybrids?

                  - There haven't been accounts of assasinations because they make sure that no clues are left ?

                  - They can show up alone, in pairs or in groups ?

                  - They claim to work for the government but they lie ?

            Classic:

                  Appearance: Dressed in black coats with black tie, white shirt and optional black hats.

                  Gender: Mainly male.

                  - Generally, they arrive unannounced when the victim is alone. They arrive in classical American black 
                  cars without license plate numbers. They usually appear right after the incident involving the victim.

                  - They will pose as salesmen in order to gain access to the victim ?

                  - They are generally in a group of Three.

                  - They will try to appeal to the victim's sense of national pride and loyalty so that he/she won't report 
                  their paranormal encounters to the public ?

            Popular:

                  - They carry gadgets and weapons made of borrowed extraterrestrial technology.

            In reality:
            
                  1976 AD: Psychiatrist Dr. Herbert Hopkins of Maine, United States, talked to Two men - David Stephens and Glen Gray
                  - who claimed to have had encounters with UFOs. Hopkins documented these meetings. Some Time after speaking with
                  Stephens and Gray, Hopkins was visited by a strange man. After an interrogatory, the man made a coin held by Hopkins
                  dematerialize. The man then suggested Hopkins to destroy his material on the UFO encounters or Hopkins' own heart
                  would disappear just as the coin had. The man left Hopkins' house and disappeared in a bright Light outside.
      
                  1953 AD: UFO investigator Albert Bender alleged that 3 MIB visited him and transported him to their craft where
                  they warned him against making his knowledge public. He describes these facts in his book Flying saucers and the
                  Three men.
            
            In fiction:
     
                  1985 AD: The music video for Cloudbusting, a Kate Bush's song, portrays MIB taking away Wilhelm Reich in a black car.
