- A robotic head that imitates human facial expressions. Was designed to interact with Humans in a natural and expressive way. Characteristics: Is the first true social robot in human History: Is a pioneering project in the field of Social Robotics. - Was developed in MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) to participate in human social interaction. Name: From Arabian and/or Indo-European languages meaning "fate" or "luck". Design: Has built-in digital cameras and microphones used for pattern recognition. Abilities: - Can move ears, eyebrows, eyeballs, eyelids, lips, jaw and head. Can display a vast array of simulated emotions:

- Interest, disapproval, happiness, sadness, Fear, surprise, anger, etc. - Can speak phrases in English, but does not exert any significant role in a human conversation. - Can react to movements around it. - Can recognize primary colors. With Humans: - Can recognize prosody in human speech. - Can recognize Humans based on skin color. - Can keep eye contact with Humans. 2007 AD: Is now retired and on permanent display at the MIT Museum. All technological advances made with it have been inherited by newer projects.
